The daily schedule

  • 1/3 of the boats put on a show in front of the Château marina, in the Penfeld River and at the commercial port.
  • 1/3 of the boats sail in the roadstead, take part in races or make trips to nearby harbours and anchorages.
  • 1/3 of the boats remain docked. 

 

Daily events

Boats come and go according to the following schedule :

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

The boats set sail.

Sailboat parade around the site of the festival: the 5th eastern channel, the Passe de la Santé channel, the La Pérouse breakwater, the Pointe de la Rose, the Penfeld River and a U-turn at the Gueydon bridge before sailing in the roadstead.

 

  • noon – 12:30 p.m.

The boats move towards the end of the Penfeld River.

 

  • 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Afternoon nautical show with live commentary.

Races and manoeuvres under sail around moored buoys in front of the La Pérouse breakwater. Parade of ketches, schooners and small three-masters.

 

  • 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

All the boats return to the port and dock to the sound of music. Activities with the crews of the docked ships.

 

  • As from 10:00 p.m.

Nighttime parades, fireworks and concerts.
